For a festive table or an unusual dinner, or maybe lunch, we suggest you cook an interesting dish. We will cook chops. But not from meat as you used to, but from mushrooms. Unusual? Yes. Yummy? Highly.

This appetizer is excellent in cold form to a glass of beer, and in a hot form to any side dish. So, if you have never before prepared a mushroom according to this recipe, it is worth a try.

We will cook champignons, but besides them, oyster mushrooms and forest mushrooms with large hats are excellent. Only wild mushrooms must be boiled before frying.

The cooking process is very simple, but we still prepared a step-by-step recipe so that you do not have any questions. During the frying process, only mushroom caps are used. The legs can be fried separately, in the same batter, or used for other dishes, for example, as an ingredient for potato salad.

Ingredients:

Champignons - 300 g;

Egg - 1 piece;

Starch - 1 tbsp. l

Flour - 2 tbsp. l

Salt;

Black pepper;

Vegetable oil.

Recipe:

First of all, select the largest and purest mushrooms for the dish. Remove dirt with a dry sponge. If there is a lot of dirt on the hats, then clean them by removing the top layer. Now cut the hat into circles with a thickness of 3-4 mm. Take a very sharp knife, hold the hat on both sides and cut it in one precise motion. Hats may crumble. Do not despair if you can’t cut all the mushrooms as you would like, everything comes with practice.

In a bowl, beat the egg with salt and black pepper.

Mix flour and starch together. 1/3 of this mixture is added to the egg and mix well again. In addition to the egg, you can take additional ingredients for batter - kefir, sour cream, mineral water. And if you add cheese to the batter, it will come out incredibly tasty.

Roll each mushroom circle in flour with starch, and only then dip in batter. Such a coat of their flour and starch will not allow the batter to slide from the mushroom.

We spread the chops from the mushrooms in a pan with warmed vegetable oil.

Fry on each side for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Then we spread the mushrooms on a paper towel so that it absorbs excess fat.

We serve mushrooms cold or hot with any side dish or as an independent snack.
