Today we want to offer you a very satisfying and tasty buckwheat porridge stewed in tomato sauce. No, of course everyone ate buckwheat. But probably not everyone tried this option.

Porridge is crumbly, tasty and satisfying. If you follow a fasting or diet, then this option to diversify your menu should be to your taste. You can also add any fried mushrooms to buckwheat. With forest it will be incredibly fragrant, and with homemade (oyster mushrooms and champignons) hearty.

Ingredients:

Buckwheat groats - 1 cup;

Onions - 1-2 pieces;

Carrots - 1 piece;

Tomato juice - 1 cup;

Tomato paste - 3 tbsp. l spoons;

Water - 2 glasses;

Salt - 1 teaspoon;

Vegetable oil - 10 ml;

Spice.

Recipe:

Peel onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes. Grate the carrots on a fine grater. In a pan, heat vegetable oil and lay out the vegetables.

Strain the onions and carrots for 10 minutes, remembering to stir.

Add tomato juice to the pan. In the summer, instead of tomato juice, put into the frying peeled tomatoes, diced.

Rinse the buckwheat groats with vegetables under running water to remove all dust. If in a pack you saw not peeled buckwheat, then it is better to clean it first. Pour some cereal onto a white sheet of paper. Remove all black grains and debris. So go through all the buckwheat.

Pour the washed buckwheat into the pan. Mix and cover.

From tomato paste and water (2 cups) we make a sauce - we spread the paste in water and add all the spices.

Pour the sauce into the pan and mix. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20-30 minutes. Open the lid periodically and check that the porridge is ready. You do not need to mix it.

When the porridge has boiled, you can remove the pan from the heat. Shuffle all contents again. Now you can serve.

Porridge will go well with fried liver or mushrooms, as mentioned above. All types of meat are also great for this side dish. If you cooked according to this recipe, share your impressions in the comments.
