Scientists from Australia came to a curious conclusion: it turned out that the less friends a person has, the less often he feels lonely. Such conclusions were made as a result of a study whose volunteers were 400 thousand students. Young people felt less lonely when they had a small circle of friends and acquaintances.

According to the head of the study, modern people are gradually becoming less dependent on their environment, they feel more self-sufficient. Experts also note that the objectively increasing Internet communication creates only the appearance of a busy life. In fact, the most “popular” bloggers with thousands of “friends” on the Web have fewer than a hundred in real life.
