Australian scientists have established a curious fact: every tenth young father suffers from postpartum depression. This figure is undoubtedly significantly lower than that observed in women, but it is no less important.

Psychologists have found that it is often very difficult for future fathers to qualitatively realize the pregnancy of their companion. Experts warn: men in such stress tend to minimize communication with children and often the responsibility for them does not hold water. All this, of course, negatively affects the behavior of children and their psyche.

Earlier, British experts found that 44% of children whose mothers were depressed showed significantly lower rates of age development than their peers. Moreover, it was observed that children of depressed mothers were more likely to suffer from obesity.
